Woke with a sore arse after all the horse-riding and also from the spicy rabbit I ate yesterday.

I just noticed the cleaner has made a swan again out of the bath towel, but it seems she didn’t have time to do them properly today. The baby swan just looks like a flannel. And I’ve left all my soap and shampoo in the other hotel, which is well annoying as it was all new for this trip. I had to use the free stuff, which isn’t very good for me as I’ve got sensitive skin.

We didn’t do much today. Just sat on the balcony and had a walk around the local shops. I didn’t buy anything. Suzanne expected a gift when I got back from Egypt, Brazil and India, but I never saw anything she’d like. And now, I figure, I don’t really need to get her anything as she has probably stopped expecting stuff.

As I write this I have just discovered a basket of chocolate in the hotel room. I decide to try a Mexican Milky Bar. I wish I hadn’t. The chocolate seems off to me. It’s like the heat has melted it and then someone has frozen it again. I’m not prepared to pay for that so I’ve wrapped it up again, put it back in the basket and covered it with a bag of M&Ms.
